Our Community
Dhakaiya brings people, families, learners, businesses, and organizations together in one secure place to chat, call, share Moments, and discover useful services. To keep Dhakaiya safe, respectful, and trustworthy for everyone, we ask every member to follow these Community Guidelines.
These Guidelines apply to everything you do on Dhakaiya, including chats, groups, calls, Moments, profile information, and your activity in Explore (such as Quran Learning, Tuition, IT Institute, Kids Zone, Dhakaiya Works, Export–Import, and every other category). They are part of our Terms of Service.
Our core values
-
Respect: Treat others as you would like to be treated.
-
Safety: Protect yourself, your family, and especially children.
-
Honesty: Be truthful about who you are and what you offer.
-
Responsibility: Think before you share. What you post can affect real people.
-
Privacy: Respect other people's personal information and boundaries.
A Note About Privacy and Encryption
Your personal chats and calls on Dhakaiya are protected by end-to-end encryption. We cannot read your private messages or listen to your calls. Privacy is not a license to harm others, however. These Guidelines still apply to your conduct in private chats and groups, and we may take action on accounts based on user reports, account behavior, and content that is not end-to-end encrypted (such as profile details, Moments, public group information, and Explore listings).

Do not use Dhakaiya to cheat or mislead others. This includes:
-

Please verify before you forward.
Illegal Goods and Activities

Self-Harm and Suicide
Spam and Platform Abuse
Do not send bulk, unsolicited, repetitive, or automated messages; run chain messages; mass-add people to groups without consent; use bots or scripts to abuse the Services; sell or trade accounts, followers, or group access; or interfere with the security or operation of the Services.
Privacy Violations and Doxxing

-
keep discussions of religion, politics, and social issues civil, and never use them as a reason to harass or threaten anyone;
-
use content from Quran Learning and other religious or educational categories respectfully and for its intended purpose; and
-
remember that people from many backgrounds, regions, and beliefs use Dhakaiya.
You are free to hold and express your views respectfully. You are not free to attack or endanger others because of who they are or what they believe.

Rules for Explore, Businesses, and Service Providers
Explore connects users with institutes, tutors, businesses, organizations, and creators. If you list, offer, advertise, or sell anything through Dhakaiya (including Dhakaiya Works), you must:
-
Be honest. Give accurate descriptions, prices, qualifications, and terms. Do not make false or exaggerated claims.
-
Be legal and licensed. Hold all trade licenses, registrations, certifications, and permissions required by law for your services, goods, or institution.
-
Deliver what you promise. Honor your commitments, respond to users, and handle complaints and refunds fairly.
-
Protect user data. Use customers' personal information only for the purpose it was given and never sell or misuse it.

Follow category-specific standards:
-
Tuition, IT Institute, and Quran Learning: Teachers and institutes must represent their qualifications truthfully and behave professionally and respectfully toward students.

-
Broadband Internet and local services: Be clear about pricing, speeds, coverage, and service terms.
-

Not bypass the platform for harm. Do not use Explore to pressure, trick, or exploit users into transactions.
Providers who violate these standards may be removed from Explore, and we may cooperate with relevant authorities.
Reporting Violations
If you see something that breaks these Guidelines, please tell us.
In the app: Open the chat, group, profile, Moment, or Explore listing and use the Report option. In an end-to-end encrypted conversation, when you report, the app may send us recent messages from that chat that you choose to share, along with the reporting details, so we can review them. We can only review content that you submit to us.
By email: safety@dhakaiyabd.com for safety issues, or support@dhakaiyabd.com for general help.
Protect yourself: You can also block any user, leave any group, and adjust your privacy settings at any time.
We take reports seriously and keep them confidential. We will not reveal the identity of the person reporting to the reported account.
How We Enforce These Guidelines
We review reports and use a combination of user reports, account-level signals, and automated and human review (limited by encryption) to detect abuse. Depending on the severity, frequency, and context of a violation, we may:
| Action | When it may apply |
|---|---|
| Warning or reminder | First-time or minor violations |
| Content removal | Removing non-encrypted content such as Moments, profile details, public listings |
| Feature restrictions | Limiting messaging, group creation, calling, or Explore access |
| Temporary suspension | Repeated or more serious violations |
| Permanent ban | Severe violations (such as child exploitation, terrorism, fraud, or serious threats) or repeated abuse |
| Provider or listing removal | Violations by Explore providers or businesses |
| Referral to authorities | Where we are required to do so, or where there is a risk of serious harm |
We may act without prior warning in serious cases. We do not tolerate attempts to avoid enforcement, including creating new accounts after a ban.
Appeals
If you believe we made a mistake, you can appeal. Contact us at appeals@dhakaiyabd.com from the phone number linked to your account, with your account details and a short explanation. We will review your appeal and tell you the outcome. Some decisions, particularly those involving child safety, serious harm, or legal obligations, may be final.
Working with Authorities
We may cooperate with law enforcement and regulators in accordance with the law. Because personal chats and calls are end-to-end encrypted, we are unable to provide their content. We may provide the limited information that we hold, such as basic account information, where we receive a valid legal request or where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to prevent serious harm.
Updates to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines as Dhakaiya grows and as new risks emerge. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or on our website. Continued use of Dhakaiya means you accept the updated Guidelines.
